Use the formula: Required Grade = (Target Grade - Current Grade x (1 - Final Weight)) / Final Weight. For example, with an 85% current grade, 20% final weight, and 90% target: you need (90 - 85 x 0.80) / 0.20 = 110% on the final.
If the required grade exceeds 100%, your target grade cannot be reached even with a perfect final exam score. Try lowering your target grade or improving your current grade before the final.
Divide the number of correct answers by the total number of questions, then multiply by 100. For example, 18 out of 20 = (18/20) x 100 = 90%. The calculator also shows the corresponding letter grade.
